 ASSERTION  :  Infantile form of coarctation of Aorta neonates become immediately symptomatic
 REASON        :   There are no collaterals formed in the infantile form of the disease

Explanation:
In infantile form of the coarctation of aorta there is hypoplasia of Aorta proximal to the Ductus arteriosus , so during fetal life there is no obstruction to the blood supply to the lower parts of the body as normally the blood is shunted through Ductus arteriosus . So collaterals are not formed in this form of disease. So the disease immediately becomes symptomatic in neonatal period.
